I started making tote bags for Milk & Honey in 2011, but as the company grew I shifted my focus towards glassware and silver for quite some time. I am so excited to once again offer market tote bags in the shop! We started with two of our favorite designs, which I created for our coffee mugs (available here and here), screen printed on both sides of the sturdy canvas tote. So far the response has been outstanding, and we have been shipping lots of bags to their new homes this week. Thank you to our fantastic customers for your enthusiastic response!
A fresh year has begun, and I am so excited about everything I have planned for 2016. Last year will be hard to beat- here’s my highlight reel.
In February, Ryan and I were named a Martha Stewart American Made power couple (click photo below to see our story on Martha’s website).
We launched our very own line of coffee, a dark blend of French and Italian roasts (click here to see the selection)
One of my custom pieces was featured in Dining Out San Diego Magazine. (Photography by the very talented Carolyn Himes).
We relaunched our own website, shopmilkandhoneyluxuries.com
We welcomed our newest family member: Dixie Blue
We were featured in Coastal Living Magazine.
And in the Fall, we were named finalists in the Martha Stewart American Made Contest. We traveled to New York City to attend the first FOOD52 Makers Convention as well as the Martha Stewart American Made Summit.
We have been part of the Martha Stewart American Made Market for a few years, and at the Summit, it was announced that the market moved to it’s new home on Amazon Handmade.
During the Holiday season, my zodiac spoons were featured in PEOPLE StyleWatch Magazine:
Needless to say, 2016 has some pretty big shoes to fill. After all the excitement and indulgence of the holiday season, I am taking some time to relax, eat right, make it to the gym, and all the usual January stuff. I am already filling in this year’s planner, and I think 2016 is already shaping up to be my best yet.
Earlier this month, we were named finalists in the 2015 Martha Stewart American Made contest. and voting is underway! You can read my entry and (pretty please) vote for us up to 6 times a day by clicking here.
In November Ryan and I will be heading up to New York City for the American Made Summit at Martha Stewart’s headquarters. Tickets are purchased, hotel is booked, and I can’t wait to be back. I’ve met some really wonderful people at Martha Stewart, and I’m looking forward to seeing everyone again.
In the meantime, it would mean so much if you took a moment to vote for my small business. You can also see more of what it is we do by checking us out on Martha Stewart’s American Made Market here.
